LOC: Free to Use and Reuse
What material is available on this site?
The Library of Congress (LOC) has compiled a digital collection of artifacts that are in the public domain, have no known copyright, or have been surrendered by the copyright owner for public use. The artifacts include everything from books, to newspapers, to photographs, to films, to sound clips. The collection is organized by themes like WWI posters and Classic Children’s Books.
Although this collection is entirely in the public domain and available to everyone, items that have been identified with an explicit copyright are labelled accordingly.
